If you don't know what a bull roarer is, you've been missing a trick in outdoor ceremonial space.

Dating from the Neolithic Period, this primitive instrument is whirled around the head to create an unearthly, pulsing, roaring sound ideal for setting and holding a sacred space. The deep thrumming it emits when whirled carries for long distances, and is a traditional instrument still used by aboriginal peoples in Australia.

If your practice incorporates sound in an active way, I recommend the bull roarer.

This one features a pentagram on one side, and a deosil spiral on the other, signifying both the intent and nature of its ritual use.
