Pagan Altar Plate/Paten

The plate or 'paten' used on a pagan altar to hold other working items such as candles and incense. These are wood slices hand pyrographied with Grumpy Old Crone's signature oak leaf and acorn symbology. If working with tarot and elemental symbology, the paten represents the element of Earth, the grounding element that supports everything.

These wood slices are made from a light bass wood, and as a natural, untreated product, the bark may be attached or loose.

Every paten is different, but all use the same themes and symbology of oak leaves, acorns and spirals. Sizes vary slightly, but are approximately 25-28cm in diameter and as each one is created by hand, your paten will be unique to you.
